On the afternoon of December 29, 2021, the
inaugural ceremony for the "Outstanding Innovation and Entrepreneurship
Talents of Zhangjiang National Independent Innovation Demonstration Zone"
was held at the Shanghai Science Hall. This event was organized by the Shanghai
Office for Advancing the Construction of the Science and Technology Innovation
Center and the Shanghai Municipal Bureau of Human Resources and Social
Security. Its purpose was to vigorously promote the spirit of innovation and
entrepreneurship, harness the exemplary influence of outstanding talents, and
unite and lead talents from across the city in advancing the construction of
the Science and Technology Innovation Center. During the ceremony, 100
individuals who have achieved outstanding accomplishments and made exceptional
contributions were recognized and honored.
Researcher Wang Hui of our platform, as a representative recipient of the "Zhangjiang National Independent Innovation Demonstration Zone Distinguished Innovation and Entrepreneurship Talent" award, was invited to participate in the event and receive the award on stage. As the Executive Director/General Manager of Shanghai Curui Low-Carbon Energy Technology Co., Ltd. (which is the functional platform for low-carbon technology innovation in Shanghai), a researcher and doctoral supervisor at the Shanghai Advanced Research Institute of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and the Assistant Dean of the 2060 Research Institute of Shanghai University of Science and Technology, Wang Hui has been dedicated to technological innovation and the transformation of achievements in the field of low-carbon energy conversion and utilization, overseeing the construction and operation of the Shanghai Low-Carbon Technology Innovation Functional Platform.
In Zhangjiang-Songjiang Park, Shanghai, the Low-Carbon Technology Innovation Functional Platform has been established to align with the national goals of " carbon peaking" and "carbon neutrality." This platform is dedicated to driving innovation, technical services, and technology incubation in the realms of low-carbon energy, with an emphasis on decarbonization, carbon recycling, and zero carbonization.
Through sustained efforts in independent innovation and market expansion, the platform has developed a comprehensive set of capabilities in low-carbon technology services. These capabilities include energy materials research and evaluation, high-throughput assessment, intelligent material manufacturing, and engineering simulation.
By deeply integrating research and development, capital investment, and engineering expertise, the platform expedites the transition of laboratory achievements into practical market applications. It has successfully incubated a range of environmentally friendly, clean, and competitive low-carbon technologies with strong potential for industrialization.
In recent years, this platform has experienced robust growth, gradually evolving into a hub for low-carbon technology innovation and becoming an integral component of the low-carbon energy sector.
