       In recent years, the state attaches great importance to accelerate the localization of high-end new materials, under the "carbon peaking and carbon neutrality" goal, many enterprises are accelerating the pace of high-end, green development, new technologies, new products, new processes to promote the transformation and upgrading of traditional industries.


      In the field of petrochemical industry, the pseudo-boehmite is commonly used in various types of carriers and binders due to its large pore volume, high specific surface area, good processability and good sol-gel thixotropy properties. Domestic more mature pseudo-boehmite process is mostly produced by carbonization method, its purity, particle size and other indicators are difficult to meet the high-end market demand. It is understood that China's high-end high-purity pseudo-boehmite is almost entirely dependent on imports with expensive price, in the current trend of localization and substitution, low-cost, high-quality pseudo-boehmite products will become a unique competitive advantage of the enterprise.

 

      Aiming at the relevant core issues, the Shanghai Institute of Cleantech Innovation has formed a set of low-cost production processes for high- viscosity pseudo-boehmite with completely independent intellectual property rights. The products produced by this process have excellent performance, with specific surface area, sol-gel index and other indicators exceeding those of similar imported products.


       This technology has a broad market prospect, which not only fills the gaps in China, but also can rapidly promote the technological innovation and product upgrading of alumina-based catalytic materials in China. Based on this, the platform will focus on promoting the application of high-viscosity pseudo-boehmite and expanding the field of new inorganic catalytic materials, such as special pseudo-boehmite and special alumina, so as to provide a new impetus for the high-quality development of high-end inorganic materials industry.
