On March 28, 2023, a delegation led by Detlef KRATZ, Global R&D President of BASF, and Han Wei, Vice President of R&D for the Asia-Pacific region, visited the Shanghai Low-Carbon Technology Innovation Platform for a round of technical discussions. They were warmly received by the leadership of the Platform, including Sun Yuhuan, Chairman, Wang Hui, Executive in Charge, and Liao Bo, Deputy General Manager.

This translation aims to be professional, academic, and suitable for a global client base seeking to understand the collaborative endeavors in low-carbon technology innovation between BASF and the Shanghai-based platform.

The BASF delegation conducted an on-site tour of the particle validation platform, analytical testing platform, and R&D laboratories. They took a special interest in learning about the laboratories' facilities, instrumentation, and technological research and development efforts. The team expressed high praise for the progress made by the Platform and indicated that existing collaborations would not only continue but also be strengthened.

During the exchange meeting, BASF's senior management team gained a detailed understanding of the advancements made by the Low Carbon Platform in hardware facilities, high-end technology development, and the commercialization of scientific achievements. A comprehensive discussion was held, integrating BASF's own R&D requirements.
